My name is Rabia. I have been a type 1 diabetic for the past 20+ years. It is difficult living with a disease that is incurable and has many side effects. It's a tough journey from controlling the blood sugars, being on a strict diet, alternating between insulin dosages, and even changing the regimen all together. This can cause lots of self doubt and self esteem issues among other things. Especially if you don't have the right kind of support. This includes health care professional, family, friends, and fellow diabetics. My goal is to be the support to fellow diabetics, type 1 or type 2. I want to provide a platform to share my personal experiences in the hopes that someone's life could be improved by them and to let you know that even though at times you may feel like you are in this by yourself, you are not alone.
